Tamiflu

Generic Tamiflu is used to treat flu symptoms caused by influenza virus types A and B in patients who have had symptoms for less than 2 days. It may also be given to prevent influenza in people who may be exposed but do not yet have symptoms.

Relenza

Generic Relenza is used to treat flu symptoms caused by influenza virus in patients who have had symptoms for less than 2 days. It may also be given to prevent influenza in people who may be exposed but do not yet have symptoms. It will not treat the common cold.

Combivir

Generic Combivir is in a group of medicines called reverse transcriptase inhibitors. It is used for treating HIV infection in combination with other medicines.

Crixivan

Generic Crixivan is used for treating HIV infection in some patients when used in combination with certain other medicines.

Epivir

Generic Epivir is used for treating HIV infection in combination with other medicines.

Famvir

Generic Famvir is used for treating herpes zoster infection (shingles). It is also used to treat recurring herpes skin infections in patients who also have HIV infection. Famvir is used in patients who have a weakened immune system to treat recurring cold sores and to treat or suppress recurring genital herpes.

Fansidar

Generic Fansidar is used for treating and preventing malaria when other medicines (eg, chloroquine) are not effective or appropriate.

Lamprene

Generic Lamprene is taken to treat leprosy (Hansen's disease). It is sometimes given with other medicines for leprosy.

Norvir

Generic Norvir is an antiviral medication in a group of HIV medicines called protease inhibitors. It prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cells from multiplying in your body.

Rebetol

Generic Rebetol is used for treating hepatitis C infection in certain patients when used in combination with interferon.

Retrovir

Generic Retrovir is used for treating HIV infection when used along with other medicines. It is also used with other medicines to help prevent women from passing the HIV virus to the fetus during pregnancy.

Symmetrel

Generic Symmetrel is an antiviral. It is used to prevent or treat certain influenza (flu) infections (type A). It may be given alone or along with flu shots. Generic Symmetrel will not work for colds, other types of flu or other virus infections. This medicine is also used to treat Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.

Videx

Generic Videx Chewable is a nucleoside analog antiviral used along with other medicines to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections.

Generic Viracept (Nelfinavir) is used for treating HIV infection. It works by slowing the growth of HIV type 1, the virus that causes AIDS.

Zerit

Generic Zerit is used for treating HIV infection when used in combination with other medicines. Generic Zerit is a nucleoside analogue antiviral. It blocks the growth of HIV.

Ziagen

Ziagen is used, in combination with other medicines, in the treatment of the infection caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). HIV is the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Abacavir will not cure or prevent HIV infection or AIDS; however, it helps keep HIV from reproducing and appears to slow down the destruction of the immune system.

Zovirax

Generic Zovirax is an antiviral drug. It slows the growth and spread of the herpes virus so that the body can fight off the infection. Acyclovir will not cure herpes, but it can lessen the symptoms of the infection. Acyclovir is used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses. Illnesses caused by herpes viruses include genital herpes, cold sores, shingles, and chicken pox.
